News Libya Agriculture: Dispute emerges over cutting of olive trees at Tarhuna agricultural project
Agricultural police in Libya say they have detained workers and apprehended others accused of cutting around 1,200 olive trees inside the Tarhuna Agricultural Project, describing the incident as an attack on a national agricultural resource. The patrol, carried out by the Al-Nahr Agricultural Police Centre, part of the Tarhuna branch, said it discovered the trees had been cut during a patrol inside the project.
